Why did you become an acupuncturist?
I became an acupuncturist because I followed a calling to work with the body in addition to the heart and the mind. Studying Tibetan Buddhism, meditation and Dzogchen for many years led me to further my interests in Eastern medicine.

What distinguishes you from other acupuncturists?
My style is continually evolving through the integration of land and water therapies. I draw from my knowledge of esoteric acupuncture, Kiiko Matsumoto, Chinese, Acupuncture Physical Medicine, dry trigger point needling and craniosacral therapy to tailor treatments to each client’s needs. Every physical ailment has an emotional component. Where there is an injury, it is connected to one’s whole being in its totality. Many arrive at acupuncture for therapy in pain. I’m adept at healing the physical and emotional body by removing blockages to release pain, restore calm and allow for deeper and finer frequencies of qi to flow. I’m fun, energetic and compassionate, and deeply connected and present to each client’s healing process. I’m known for my big heart and positive intentions in my work. My focus is on maintaining health and wellness.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy helping people to reach their truest potential physically, emotionally and spiritually.

What is the biggest misconception you hear about acupuncture?
The biggest misconception I hear about acupuncture is that it works if you believe it works. Acupuncture is not a matter of belief. It is a system of medicine, thousands of years old, that has healed countless believers and non-believers.

How do you stay healthy in your own life?
I stay healthy in my own life through food, fitness, regular bodywork and plenty of time swimming at the beach.
