Why did you become an acupuncturist?
I became an acupuncturist to guide people on listening to their bodies and embracing prevention before correction as a health-and-wellness philosophy. I wanted to get people to understand that they can balance their bodies through holistic therapies.

What distinguishes you from other acupuncturists?
I teach patients to detox, balance, and build their bodies by being an advocate for their total wellness, health, and beauty. I focus on looking at the face to reveal what imbalances are showing up internally and I conduct a comprehensive intake to discover what patterns are contributing to pain, illness, or imbalance. I then come up with a treatment strategy and plan to gain results, while coaching clients on what emotional behaviors will help them shift and what choices they can make for nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and lifestyle to continue on a path to wellness.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
“Each time I see a client, I hope to shift consciousness. Awareness, progress, and happiness are my main intentions, whether I am working with an individual or a group. Knowledge is power. Wisdom is application of that knowledge. And when someone combines wisdom with passion, kindness, and compassion, it is a force so powerful that the universe makes shifts to birth healing. I aim to hold a space for that healing journey.

What is the biggest misconception you hear about acupuncture?
I often hear people say that they think the needles are painful or that they think the service will hurt. I always show patients that the needles are hair-thin and I use a gentle needling style during my treatments. I offer non-needle modalities as well.

How do you stay healthy in your own life?
I use organic skin-care products and I make conscious choices about what I eat. I also exercise regularly, practice yoga, and like to color as my meditation practice! I love to go to other practitioners to commit to my own practices of self-care and to stay on top of my health.

Do you offer forms of treatment that do not involve needle insertion?
Yes! I offer cupping, gua sha, herbal therapy, facials, micro-current treatments as well as sound, aromatherapy, and light therapy. I also offers transformational coaching with Chinese face reading. You can find out more about this service at
