Why did you become an acupuncturist?
At age 15, I was exposed to acupuncture and its healing magic when I met an acupuncturist who healed many people and a wide range of issues with a set of acupuncture needles. When asked how he did it, he always replied that the body had the amazing capacity to heal itself and the needles simply facilitated it own healing powers. I decided that one day I was going to study and practice this magnificent form of medicine.

What distinguishes you from other acupuncturists?
I have seen acupuncture work for more than 40 years. More than believing in the magic of acupuncture, I believe in the amazing architecture of the human body and its capacity to heal itself. I am deeply aware of how it works and how powerful it is as a tool, capable of restoring balance, health, joy, and vitality.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy every aspect of it. I love what I do and I do what I love. From the moment every patient comes in, we have a common goal. Quickly, we learn to work together and succeed. It is a win-win situation and we could not be happier.

What is the biggest misconception you hear about acupuncture?
Acupuncture is very effective, but one cannot expect a 20-year chronic issue that has been masked by multiple medicines for that many years to be resolved with a couple of treatments. Medicines have strong side effects, and longterm use can create imbalance on top of imbalance.

How do you stay healthy in your own life?
Exercise. I play tennis and spend plenty of time outdoors every chance I get. Sun, water, exercise, fun, hard work, prayer, gratitude, and staying connected help me stay healthy.

What is most important to you in your practice?
To treat each patient as the unique individual they are, and to help them achieve results as quickly as possible.
