Why did you become an acupuncturist?
I became an acupuncturist to preserve and maintain my own health and the health of others. I truly enjoy making acupuncture accessible to my community.
What distinguishes you from other acupuncturists?
The mission of my clinic, Costa Acupuncture, is to provide safe, affordable, effective care to everyone. We provide affordable treatments tailored to each individual’s needs.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Providing highly effective acupuncture treatments that are affordable to just about everyone is the most rewarding aspect of my work. Acupuncture is effective for many conditions. My goal is to make it available to as many patients as possible.
What is the biggest misconception you hear about acupuncture?
New patients tend to think acupuncture is going to feel similar to getting an injection or blood drawn with needles that are much thicker than those used in acupuncture treatments. Acupuncture needles are almost hair thin and most patients barely feel them at all.
How do you stay healthy in your own life?
Self care through meditation, eating a nutritious diet, and getting adequate rest. I use acupuncture, herbs, and nutritional supplements to support wellbeing when everything is going well and when things get out of balance.
